With the Mustang restoration a distant memory Steve and Nathan started to look for a truck project.  We originally had our search focused on an early to mid-fifties Ford F-1 or F-100 but we could not find the deal we needed and really couldn’t see doing a full-on restoration in the driveway - not to mention what the HOA might say! 

We altered our focus to a broader range of years and came upon this beastly beauty for a fair price and more modest restoration needs.  It was an original Arizona truck purchased from a dealership in Safford.  The seller was the third owner and had undertaken a number of modifications himself, including a swap of the original but tired 352 for a Ford big block 460 in front of a 3 speed C6 tranny.  The body and undercarriage were amazingly clean, and free of rust in all the usual places.

In December of 2012 we undertook a modest restoration to give the truck a few modern amenities but keep the original look and feel.
